A total of five Siena Heights men's golfers were recognized as Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes, as announced by the NAIA recently.
The honorees include juniors Tim Combs, Michael MacLean, Parker Ross and Collin Smith and sophomore Gage E. Snyder.
The quintet varies in majors. Combs is an Accounting major, Ross studies Business Administration and Snyder is a Computer Information Systems major. MacLean focuses in Social Studies and Special Education while Smith doubles in Religious Studies and Communications.
In order to be nominated for the award, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status. A total of 165 men were recognized.
