ANGOLA, Ind. -- Parker Ross tied for medalist honors and Siena Heights tied for first place in team competition, but the Saints' men's golf team ultimately lost out on the Trine's A.C. Eddy Invitational championship due to a tiebreaker. A total of 31 competitors from five schools competed on Sunday at Zollner Golf Course.
Ross finished with a 73, tying for the low round with Kalamazoo's David Smith.
Andrew Ioanou tied for fifth with a 78, Nick Burnham had an 82 to tie for 14th, and Collin Smith tied for 16th with an 83.
In team scoring, SHU and Rochester had 400s, but the Warriors claimed the invite championship due to better scores on the fifth hole. Trine (Ind.) placed third with a 401 and was followed, in order, by Kalamazoo (407) and Olivet (428).
