SOUTHFIELD, Mich. -- Nick Sanscrainte was the top Siena Heights golfer, tying for 18th, as the Saints' men's golf team placed ninth at the Lawrence Tech Fall Invitational, which took place Monday at Plum Hollow Country Club. A total of 71 golfers from 12 teams competed in the two-round event.
Sanscrainte finished with a two-round 156 (80-76) on the par-72 course.
Also for the Saints, Matthew Grybel tied for 45th with a 168 (85-83) while both Michael MacLean (87-73) and Andrew Ioanou (84-86) shot 170 to tie for 47th.
Grand Rapids Community College (305-303) and Wayne State (303-305) tied for the team crown with team scores of 608. SHU finished with a 660 (332-328).
Wayne State's Austin Hill earned medalist honors with a two-under 142 (72-70).
Siena Heights will return to competition on Friday during the Cleary Fall Invitational at Chemung Hills in Howell.
