JACKSON, Mich. -- Robert Kowalenko is tied for fifth individually as the Siena Heights men's golf team sits in fifth place as a team after Friday's day-one action during Spring Arbor's Bill Bockwitz Invitational.

Kowalenko fired a 74, helping the Saints to a 316 team score. After the first round, SHU is ranked behind Mount Vernon Nazarene, Ohio (297), Rochester (305), Spring Arbor (307) and Northwestern Ohio (311).

Nick Zanotti added an 80, tying for 30th, while Parker Ross and Tim Combs shot 81s to tie for 36th.

Day-one individual leaders were Mount Vernon Nazarene's Charlie Phillips and Rochester's Mason Motte, who both had 70s.

The Bockwitz Invite will wrap up on Saturday.
