BATTLE CREEK, Mich. -- The Siena Heights men's golf team is 10th among 16 teams after Friday's first-round action at Olivet's Lou Collins Memorial, which is taking place at Bedford Valley Country Club. Ninety golfers from 16 teams competed on Friday.

Robert Kowalenko is tied for 13th with a 75 while Parker Ross is tied for 35th with a 78.

Also for the Saints, Joe Forest is tied for 42nd with a 79 and Nick Zanotti and Nick Sanscrainte are tied for 46th with 80s.

Rochester's Chet Ryeson had a 67 and leads the individual field. Owens Community College is atop the team standings with a 299 total. Siena Heights has a score of 312.

The tournament will wrap up on Saturday.
