ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The seventh-seeded Siena Heights men's bowling team upset two-seed Northwestern Ohio at the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Championships before dropping two straight matches to finish with a 1-2 record on Saturday.
The Saints swept UNOH in three games, 179-158, 168-141, 221-171, to pull their first-round upset. After that, the Saints dropped a 3-0 match to third-seed Davenport, 170-169, 222-178, 263-164.
Send down to the losers' bracket, SHU's tournament ended with a 3-1 loss to Indiana Tech. The Saints won the first game against the five-seed Warriors, 168-166, before dropping three straight, 199-178, 170-142, 223-173.
Sixth-seed Aquinas won the WHAC Tournament with a 6-1 record, winning six straight matches including the final two over fellow finalist Concordia.
