GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Siena Heights rallied in the second half but couldn't overcome Aquinas' hot shooting from deep, falling 71-59 in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference play on Saturday.
The Saints (4-9, 1-7) trailed 30-20 at halftime after shooting just 33% in the opening period and going 0-for-6 from three. Siena Heights found its rhythm after the break, hitting 50% from the field and outscoring Aquinas 39-41 in the second half, but the early deficit proved too much.
Jonas Tester led the Saints with 17 points on 7-of-13 shooting, including a late three-pointer that cut the margin to single digits. Jack Olis added 15 points and a team-high 10 rebounds for a double-double, while George Kalatzis scored 15 points and grabbed four boards. Nick Sobush chipped in five points and three assists, and Jasiah Rainey contributed three steals.
