ADRIAN, Mich. -- Jamison Webster scored 17 points while Christian Covile contributed 15 points and seven rebounds in the Siena Heights men's basketball team's 65-50 loss to 10th-ranked Davenport on Wednesday at the SHU Fieldhouse.
Stone Beckwith added nine points and Jerrell Martin contributed nine rebounds and three blocks for the Saints (4-7, 1-4), who struggled to find their offensive rhythm for much of the contest.
Siena Heights shot 29.5 percent from the field (13 of 44) and 54.5 percent from the free-throw line (54.5 percent) in a contest that saw the teams combine for 52 fouls.
The home team trailed at halftime, 37-26, before trimming its deficit to five points on three separate occasions.
The Saints were behind 43-38 with 13:28 to go in the contest, but then the Panthers (7-2, 3-2) went on a 20-7 stretch -- led by 12 points from Dominez Burnett -- to open up a 63-45 advantage with 4:29 to go.
Burnett had a game-high 25 points. JaVontae Ford contributed 16 points and nine rebounds while Kevin Rich grabbed eight boards.
The Saints will return to action on Saturday with a 5:30 p.m. WHAC contest at Indiana Tech.
