Siena Heights defensive lineman A.J. Knox was named Mid-States Football Association Mideast League Defensive Player of the Week by the league on Monday.

Knox totaled seven tackles and three sacks during Saturday's 45-21 win over Madonna.

With that performance, Knox now owns the Siena Heights record for sacks in a single season at 10. Surpassing the previous record holder, C.J. Marious, who had nine sacks during the 2014 season.
