ADRIAN, Mich. – Siena Heights kicker Anthony Secchi was named the Mid-States Football Association Mideast special teams player of the week when the league office announced the award winners on Monday afternoon.
Secchi had a big week for the Saints as he made his first two field goals of the 2022 season and added an extra point to lead the team with seven of the 13 points scored in the upset win over Saint Francis (Ind.) on homecoming weekend. The senior from Sterling Heights, Michigan, is a perfect 10-10 in extra point attempts this season and leads SHU with 16 points.
This is the first player of the week award for the SHU football team this season and the second for Secchi's career.
