Siena Heights linebacker Trent Bragg was named Mid-States Football Association Mideast League Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the conference on Monday.
Bragg had 13 tackles, including a school-record number of seven tackles-for-loss, as the Saints recorded two interception-return touchdowns in a 33-3 win over Concordia on Saturday.
Bragg finished with two sacks for a SHU defensive unit that had six quarterback takedowns and three interceptions.
Bragg became the first SHU football player to earn the weekly defensive honor in 2014 -- and second Saint to be honored this season. Wide receiver Reggie Blackmon was named MSFA Mideast Offensive Player of the Week on Oct. 6.
