ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. -- The Siena Heights competitive cheer team opened its season with an outstanding performance, securing first place at the first WHAC competition of the schedule. The Saints earned an impressive 85.33, demonstrating exceptional resilience, passion and determination throughout their routine.

 

When the announcer finally declared the results, the room fell silent with anticipation—

 

"In first place… Siena Heights University with a score of 85.33!"

 

The team erupted into cheers, embraces, and tears. It was more than a victory; it was a statement. The Saints began their season not only with a win, but with a message: they are here, they are prepared, and this is only the beginning.

 

The coaching staff expressed their pride in the athletes, noting, "It was so special to see the team work together and overcome all odds. It has been a tough year with the announcement of the university closure, but the students have displayed that they are relentless."

 

Siena Heights topped a competitive field that included Lourdes University (80.93), Madonna University (73.63), Aquinas College (71.75), Rochester Christian University (61.03), and Cornerstone University (59.77).
