The Siena Heights competitive cheer team received an at-large berth to the 2014 NAIA Competitive Cheer and Dance Invitational, as announced on Monday. The fourth annual event will take place March 14-15 at Oklahoma City University in Oklahoma City, Okla.

The Saints placed second during the NAIA East Regional, which took place Saturday at the SHU Fieldhouse. They finished with a score of 78.48, trailing only Concordia's cheer team.

The SHU competitive cheer and dance teams will travel together to the National Invite. The Saints' dance squad won the East Regional to earn an automatic bid. A total of 12 teams will compete in the cheer division while seven squads are set to compete in dance.
