FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- The Siena Heights baseball team lost both ends of a doubleheader versus WHAC opponent Indiana Tech on Sunday. Individual recaps are below.
Game 1: Indiana Tech 19, Siena Heights 5
Mason Baer batted 2-for-2 with a double and two runs while Jack Semler added a double and two RBI for SHU.
Kaleb Schroeder worked 2 2/3 innings of scoreless relief on the mound, allowing three hits while recording two strikeouts and two walks.
Siena Heights trailed 8-0 before pushing across four runs in the third inning. Semler had a two-run double and Kaleb Woods hit an RBI single in the inning.
The host Warriors pushed their lead to 17-4 in the bottom half of the third.
Siena Heights scored its final run on an RBI single by Mac Melvin in the fourth.
Indiana Tech plated its last two runs in the sixth.
Game 2: Indiana Tech 13, Siena Heights 2
The Saints were behind 13-0 before scratching across two runs in the sixth. Mason Mitchell had an RBI double and Zach Reeder contributed an RBI single.
Woods pitched a scoreless inning of relief, striking out two batters during Indiana Tech's 1-2-3 sixth.
