Siena Heights pitcher Chase Molnar was named WHAC Pitcher of the Week, as announced by the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference on Monday.

Molnar was the winning pitcher in SHU's 4-0 win in its season opener at Midway on Friday. He fired a 1-hit shutout.

Molnar worked seven innings and struck out five batters in the opener. He faced only one batter over the minimum. He retired the first 14 batters he faced before Midway's Barrett McGill hit a two-out single in the fifth. He threw only 62 pitches on the day.
