Baseball Pulls Out Dramatic 4-3, 12 inning victory at Adrian

Adrian, Mich.- The Siena Heights baseball team pulled out a tough 4-3 victory in twelve innings against Adrian Monday night.  

This is the third one run game the Saints and Bulldogs have played this season,  SHU has won the last two.

Tonight, the Saints were able to tie the game at three with two runs in the in the 7th inning.  The teams remained deadlocked until SHU scored an unearned run in the top of the 12th to win.  

The winning run came when Eric Henderson reached on a throwing error, and Drew Byers was able to cross the plate on the play.  

Tyler Thelen struck out two batters in the 11th inning to get credit for the win. Ben Finn pitched a scoreless 12th inning for his second save of the season.

Joe Williams, Drew Milligan, and Zack Dunlop all drove in runs for the Saints.  Milligan went 2-for3 at the plate.  Dan Muller had three hits in six attempts to lead all Saints batters.

The Saints return to action on Tuesday when they host Northwestern Ohio in a WHAC double header.  First pitch is scheduled for 2 pm.
