The Siena Heights Baseball Team dropped a pair of games at Davenport on Thursday afternoon by scores of 14-6 and 6-1.
In game one, Davenport jumped out to a three run lead in the first inning, SHU used six hits in the fourth inning to jump out to a two run lead at 5-3. However, Davenport answered quickly tying the game in the fourth and then scoring seven runs on seven hits in the fifth. SHU tacked on their final run in the 8th after the home team had scored solo runs in the 6th and 7th.
On the game, SHU was led by Dan Muller and Logan Curtis who each had two hits. Curtis and Austin Hauck each had two RBI with Zack Dunlop adding the other SHU RBI. Muller and Curtis each knocked a double with Hauck adding a triple. Tyler Butlin threw two inning of scoreless relief for the Saints.
In game two, Davenport took a lead in the first inning with one run. SHU answered in the fourth with their only run, but once again Davenport responded right away plating four runs in the bottom of the fourth and adding their final run in the 6th.
On the game Matt King threw the complete game for the Saints. Offensively, the Saints were held to three hits, one each by Eric Henderson, Muller and Dennis Sharp. Sharp plated the only Saints' run plating Henderson.
The Saints fall to 14-19 overall and 4-10 in the WHAC. They will return to action on Saturday when they travel back to Davenport for another doubleheader.
