KENTWOOD, Mich. -- The Siena Heights baseball team lost two games to Davenport, 10-0 and 6-5, in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference doubleheader on Sunday.

In the opener, Kyle Benschoter (Hudson, Mich./Hudson), Mike Lollo (Allen Park, Mich./Cabrini) and Robbie Schwartz(Adrian, Mich./Adrian) had singles for SHU's only hits.

In the SHU seventh, Brett Howard (Sylvania, Ohio/Saint Francis de Sales) had a run-scoring single and Dan Abbott(Plymouth, Mich./Lutheran Westland) smacked a sac fly to give the Saints a 5-1 lead before the fateful DU comeback.

Jake Sperry (Livonia, Mich./Westland John Glenn) started on the hill and pitched into the seventh for Siena Heights. He surrendered three runs on five hits before giving way to Nathan Wilkerson (Osseo, Mich./Hudson), who was the eventual losing pitcher, and Jake Kret (Wyandotte, Mich./Roosevelt), who gave up the game-ending sacrifice.

Benschoter led the SHU offense, batting 4-for-4, while Lehman was 3-for-3 and Howard collected two hits.

For Davenport (32-15, 17-7), Licon had three hits while Cooper and Bongard finished with two. Corey Anderson pitched two frames in relief to earn the victory.
