KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Siena Heights baseball team will travel to Embry-Riddle University in Daytona Beach, Fla., for the Opening Round of the NAIA Tournament.
The Saints (31-23), who earned an automatic bid with their Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Tournament championship, received the fifth seed in the Daytona Beach Bracket, setting them up to take on four-seed Southern Poly (Ga.) on Thursday. The game time has not yet been announced.
Other teams in the bracket include top-seeded host Embry Riddle, two-seed Auburn Montgomery (Ala.) and three-seed Biola (Calif.).
No. 8 Embry Riddle (40-16) was the Sun Conference regular season champion while No. 15 Auburn Montgomery (36-22), Biola (26-27) and Southern Poly (35-23) were given at-large bids.
The Saints' fellow WHAC member, No. 22 Indiana Tech (39-20), also emerged from the at-large pool and will take part in tournament play at Tennessee Wesleyan in Kingsport, Tenn.
