The following was printed on Paula Kangas' Hall of Fame Plaque:
Paula Kangas was a standout distance and cross country runner for the Saints during the late 1990s. She earned First Team All-WHAC honors in cross country four times, helping Siena Heights claim three WHAC team championships. On the track, Kangas captured three WHAC titles, winning the 10,000 meters outdoors in 1997 and the indoor 1,500 meters and 3,200 meters in 1995. Kangas earned All-American honors with the 4 x 800 meter relay team that finished runner-up at the 1995-96 NAIA Indoor National Championship Meet. She also competed at the national level, finishing 13th at the 1995 NAIA Outdoor Marathon. Kangas’ achievements extended into the classroom, where she earned Academic All-WHAC honors.
