Kim Cramer was a standout mid-distance runner and cross country athlete for Siena Heights University, earning national recognition for her performances on the track. She earned NAIA All-American honors at the 2007–08 NAIA Indoor National Championships with a sixth-place finish in the 600-meter run, posting a time of 1:38.93.

Cramer qualified for seven additional NAIA National Championship events throughout her career. She placed eighth in the 4 × 400-meter relay at the 2007–08 NAIA Indoor Championships, ninth in the 600 meters at the 2006–07 NAIA Indoor Championships, and 15th in the 4 × 400-meter relay at the 2007 NAIA Outdoor Championships. Additional national finishes included 18th at the 2006–07 NAIA Indoor 4 × 400-meter relay, 19th at the 2009 NAIA Outdoor 4 × 400-meter relay, 21st at the 2005–06 NAIA Indoor 600-meter run, and 22nd at the 2008 NAIA Outdoor 4 × 400-meter relay.

She was a member of two nationally successful teams, helping the Saints to a seventh-place finish at the 2005–06 NAIA Indoor National Championships and contributing to the most successful women’s cross country team in Siena Heights history, which placed 10th at the 2006 NAIA Cross Country Championships. At the conference level, Cramer won two WHAC championships in the 2009 outdoor 800-meter run and the 2008–09 indoor 600-meter run and added a runner-up finish. Her excellence extended into the classroom, where she earned four NAIA Scholar Athlete awards and multiple WHAC All-Academic honors.
