The following was written on Marissa Young's Hall of Fame Plaque.
Marissa Young was a dynamic forward for the Saints from 2019 to 2023. During her career, she earned First Team All-WHAC honors twice, Second Team All-WHAC once, and was named to the WHAC All-Newcomer Team as a freshman. A dedicated student-athlete, Young received Academic All-WHAC and NAIA Scholar-Athlete recognition three times each and was twice honored as a College Sports Communicators Academic All-District selection (2022 and 2023). A key contributor to the Saints’ 2023 WHAC Championship team, Young finished her career ranked sixth in program history in goals scored (40), second in game-winning goals (18), and fourth in games played (86). Her 2021 season featured eight game-winning goals—the second-highest single-season total in SHU history.
