The following was written on the 2006 Women's Soccer Team's Hall of Fame Plaque.
The 2006 Siena Heights Women’s Soccer Team delivered a historic season, capturing both the WHAC Tournament Championship and the Region VIII Tournament title. The Saints earned a berth in the NAIA National Tournament and finished the season ranked #23 in the nation with an impressive 15-7-1 overall record.
Individually, the team was loaded with talent. Carol Roman and Nikki Romano were named NAIA Honorable Mention All-Americans. Amanda Marinello and Carol Roman earned First Team All-WHAC honors, while Nikki Romano and Allison Septer were named to the Second Team All-WHAC. Kristen Brundage and Katharine Koch received Honorable Mention All-WHAC recognition.
The 2006 roster featured five future Siena Heights Hall of Famers: Amanda Marinello, Carol Roman, Nikki Romano, Allison Septer, and Maggie Vaillancourt. The team was led by Hall of Fame Head Coach Scott Oliver, adding further distinction to one of the most accomplished squads in program history.
