The following was printed on John Kolasinski's Hall of Fame Plaque:
John “JK” Kolasinski served as the head baseball coach at Siena Heights University from 2004 to 2025, concluding a distinguished 22‑year tenure—the longest in the history of the Saints baseball program. During his time at Siena Heights, Kolasinski compiled 333 victories, the second‑highest total in program history.
Under his leadership, the Saints reached a historic milestone in 2012, advancing to the NAIA National Tournament and securing the only two NAIA National Tournament wins in school history. Throughout his career at SHU, Kolasinski achieved several personal coaching milestones, earning his 300th, 400th, 500th, and 600th career victories while guiding the Saints.
Kolasinski’s teams produced numerous individual accolades. He coached all five NAIA Gold Glove recipients in Siena Heights history, one of only five NAIA All‑Americans the program has ever recognized, and the only WHAC Player of the Year in Saints baseball history.
His commitment to character and leadership was reflected in his recognition as a three‑time WHAC Coach of Character and as a recipient of the WHAC Impact Award. His influence extended nationally as well; Kolasinski became the fourth NAIA coach to serve as President of the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) and later continued his service on the ABCA Board of Directors.
Kolasinski also emphasized academic excellence. Under his direction, Siena Heights became one of only two programs nationally to earn ABCA Scholar Team honors every year since the award’s inception.
John “JK” Kolasinski leaves a lasting legacy at Siena Heights University, marked by competitive success, national leadership, and an unwavering commitment to the holistic development of student‑athletes.
