ADRIAN, Mich. – Head Coach Dominic Adams and the Siena Heights University women's wrestling program are thrilled to announce the first commitment in school history.
Adams and the Saints dipped into Ohio to sign Maggie Mann to a National Letter of Intent. Mann is the first student-athlete to commit to wrestle for the Saints program after Adams was announced as head coach less than a month ago.
"I am extremely excited and honored to have Maggie as our first signee in Siena Heights University women's wrestling program history," Adams said. "She is a fantastic student, is an extremely hard worker, and will be a tremendous asset in growing our program based on our values of love, family, and fun!"
Maggie has been on the distinguished honor roll for four years, was named to the Ohio High School Wrestling Coaches Association all-academic team, a member of the National Honor Society, graduated from the Global Scholars Program, and qualified for state judging in 4H for five consecutive years.
Mann wrestled at Pickerington North High School near Columbus, Ohio, where she wrestled for Head Coach Derek Oney.
She plans to study chemistry at SHU.
The Saints will take the mat for the first time during the 2022-23 school year. Any ladies interested in wrestling in college or learning more about the women's wrestling program are encouraged to fill out the recruit form here.
