ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights women's volleyball team hosted Concordia in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference contest on Wednesday. The Saints swept the match with set scores of 25-18, 25-9 and 25-19.
SHU was in control from the beginning, taking an 11 point lead at one point in the first set and winning set one, 25-19. Siena Heights coasted to a set two win holding the Cardinals (3-23, 1-11 WHAC) to just nine points. Siena Heights was able to finish off the match in the third set, holding off Concordia.
Leading the Saints (24-4, 10-3 WHAC) attack was Christine Tylutki with seven kills, Taylor Purcell and Paige Hudgin each added five. Amanda Metz distributed 21 assists while contributing six aces. Hudgin led the Saints with 13 digs while Ashleigh Shay was the Siena Heights leader with six assisted blocks.
Next up, Siena Heights will travel to take on No. 18 Cornerstone on Friday, Oct. 27. First serve is set for 6 p.m.
