Siena Heights women's track and field senior Haley Hudson was selected the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) field athlete of the week the league office announced on Monday afternoon.
The Blissfield, Michigan native threw the shot put 14.56m (47' 1.75") for third place at the Michigan State Spartan Invitational. She finished higher than any other student-athlete from the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). That mark was an auto-qualifying measurement and has her currently ranked second in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) performance list.
This is Hudson's third WHAC field athlete of the week honor this year and the first during the outdoor season.
