The Siena Heights women's lacrosse team was chosen fourth in the 2020 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Preseason Coaches' Poll that was released by the conference office on Wednesday afternoon. The Saints finished fourth in the WHAC standings last season with a 5-4 record in league play.
Lawrence Tech received nine of the 10 first-place votes to finish in first in the poll with 99 points. The defending regular-season and tournament champion Indiana Tech was given a first-place vote for 84 points and second place in the poll. Concordia (Mich.) finished four points ahead of Siena Heights with 76 points for third. Cleary had 66 points for fifth while Aquinas had 48 points for sixth. Madonna received 42 points for seventh. Bethel (Ind.) (27), Taylor (Ind.) (22), and Rochester (14) rounded out the preseason poll.
The Saints begin the 2020 season with a road game against Saint Ambrose (Iowa) on Saturday, February 29. The game is set to begin at noon, EST.
