Parks and Hopkins Named 2018 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes

The Siena Heights women's lacrosse team had two athletes honored as 2018 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes, as announced by the league recently. Saints honored include Kayla Parks and Alyssa Hopkins.

Senior Parks is a two-year award recipient, majoring in communications while earning a minor in graphic design. Junior Hopkins majors in nursing.

In order to be nominated by an instutition's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport and have attended two full years as a non-transfer or one full year as a transfer. A total of 58 women's lacrosse athletes received this award.
