#5 Women's Lacrosse Set to Take on Notre Dame (Ohio)

The No. 5 Siena Heights women's lacrosse team is set to take on Notre Dame (Ohio) on Thursday in non-conference action. Game time is set for 4 p.m. Last week the Saints defeated Ursuline, 21-17 and improved their record to 6-2 overall but still remain 0-1 in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference. 

The Saints average 16.25 goals per game on 36 shots per game; averaging a shot percent of 45.1%. SHU allows an average of 11.36 goals per game and makes 8.9 saves.

The Falcons are 2-5 overall on the season and have lost their last three straight. Notre Dame will look to get back on track this week as they take on Siena Heights. ND averages 9.29 goals per game on 21.1 shots giving them an average shot percentage of 43.9. The Falcons allow 15.29 goals a game and make 6.86 saves per contest. 

Jenna Sommerville leads the Saints with 27 goals scored on the season. Marissa Cirino and Taylor Swartz follow close behind with 22 and 21 goals respectively. Cirino leads the way with 14 assists. Mariah Smythe holds the best record in goal -- 2-1 and has made 34 saves. Lizzy Elliott is 1-1 and has made 37 saves in goal for Siena Heights.

Selena Carter leads Notre Dame with 20 goals and Taylor Henderson has added 12. Henderson leads with four assists for the Falcons. Morgan Belting has played and started in six contests for ND and has a 2-4 record while making 41 saves. 

The No. 5 Siena Heights women's lacrosse team will travel to take on Madonna in a WHAC contest on Wednesday, April 4. Game time is scheduled for 5 p.m.
