GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- The Siena Heights women's lacrosse traveled to take on Aquinas in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference match-up on Sunday. The Saints were able to come back in the second half and take the win, 17-15.
Aquinas opened scoring after netting their first goal less than two minutes into the game. At halftime the Saints found themselves down two goals with a score of 9-7. With 17:18 remaining in the game, Siena Heights tied the score at 11. The Saints scored the next goal and was able to hang on from there for the victory.
Aliisa Mason led the Saints (6-3, 3-3 WHAC) with five goals and two assists. Kayla Parks added four goals while Marissa Cirino finished with a team high, three assists and also contributed two goals. Tabitha Ferguson grabbed the win in net for SHU making ten saves.
For Aquinas (3-5, 2-4 WHAC) Anna Curcuru scored eight goals and added two assists. McKenna Maltby suffered the loss in goal for the Saints making 16 saves.
Next up, Siena Heights will host Madonna on Wednesday, March 29. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
