Women's Golf 2018 Season Recap

The Siena Heights women's golf team finished the 2017-18 season with a fifth place finish in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference. Five different athletes were honored with post-season awards.

Lauren Cojei was named the most valuable player by head coach Al Sandifer. She finished the season with an 82.4 average in 16.5 rounds of action. Cojei was also named to the WHAC Champions of Character Team.

Earning All-WHAC Second Team honors was Dakota Spears for her efforts in the three WHAC Jamborees in the fall. Spears also won the SHUspy for Female Rookie of the Year, ending her season with 84.4 average in 16.5 rounds of action.

Coach Sandifer named Gabby Anderson as the Most Improved Player this season.

Amy Nordstrom, Katherine Carlson, Anderson and Cojei were all named to the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference All-Academic Team and the Daktronics-NAIA Champions of Character Team.
