Everett, Richards Lead SHU Women's Golf to Third at WHAC #2

COMSTOCK PARK, Mich. -- Ashley Everett shot an 80 to tie for sixth and Andrea Richards had an 81 to place ninth for the Siena Heights women's golf team, which took third itself in team competition during the second Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference jamboree at Scott Lake Country Club.

Sydney Gossett added an 86 to take 18th and Andrea Rumler tied for 21st with an 88 on the 5,845-yard, par-71 course.

Wiebke Schlender of Indiana Tech was the top golfer. She had a 75.

As a team, the Saints had a score of 335, finishing behind only Indiana Tech (318) and Madonna (323).

In the season standings, SHU (689) also trails Indiana Tech (658) and Madonna (665), but is ahead of Aquinas (693), Lourdes (704), Davenport (714), Northwestern Ohio (777), Cornerstone (862) and Concordia (inc.).

The Saints will return to competition on Monday at the third WHAC Jamboree, which will be hosted by Cornerstone.
