WESTLAND, Mich. -- The Siena Heights women's bowling team finished sixth in a nine team field at the first Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference jamboree of the 2016-17 season at Westland Bowl, on Saturday.
After game one, the Saints were sitting in last place with a total of 737. With a couple games over 800 and baker sets over 650, SHU was able to comeback for a sixth place finish.
As a team, SHU had a tournament total of 5,759 while Lawrence Tech won the event with a 6,556 tournament total, followed closely by Aquinas with a 6,547 total.
Tryna Gladstone was the top-SHU finisher with a four-game score of 715, averaging 178.75 to place 13th in the 66-bowler field.
Finishing 29th for Siena Heights was Tiffany Logan, compiling a four-game series of 662 (165.50 average).
Siena Heights will be back in action when they travel to Columbus, Ohio for the first AHIBC tournament of the season. It will take place on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 29 and 30.
