Siena Heights sophomore Peyton Banks was named the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) women's basketball player of the week honor that was announced by the league office this afternoon.
Banks averaged 19.5 points and 12 rebounds on the week to help lead the Saints toa 2-0 record on the week and remain atop the WHAC standings. Her double-double against Lourdes was the 10th of the season, the most on the Saints roster. She was also a perfect 18-18 from the free-throw line on the week.
This is the fifth WHAC women's basketball player of the week award of Peyton's career and the fourth in this season alone.
Banks will lead the Saints to a road contest against Aquinas this Wednesday, February 5 at 5:30 p.m., EST.
