Siena Heights softball senior second baseman Kyndle Wolfinger was named First Team All-Great Lakes Region by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association, as announced on Thursday. Sixteen athletes in the Great Lakes Region were recognized as First Team performers.
Wolfinger finished the season with a .487 on base percentage and a .460 batting average, including a .513 slugging percentage, to lead the Saints in on base percentage and batting average. As she leads the team in at bats with 150 plate appearances, she also leads the Saints in strikeouts after striking out only six times.
The Jackson, Mich. native also managed to steal 18 bases on the season while only getting caught once. In her 150 at bats, she earned 69 hits while scoring 52 times to hold a SHU school record.
