Siena Heights men's cross country runner Esrom Woldemichael qualified for the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Championship, set for Friday, Nov. 18, in Vancouver, Wash., as announced by the governing bodies recently.
At the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Championship, Woldemichael finished seventh overall. He finished the 8k in 25:52.5. His best time of the season came at the Calvin College Invitational on Sept. 9, finishing the course in 25:27.1.
The race is set to start at 12:30 PST (3:30 EDT). This is Woldemichael's second year qualifying for the Championships. In 2016, men's cross country qualified for the National Championships as a team.
