ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights men's soccer team earned their first win of the season 2-1 over Lourdes on Saturday afternoon. Senior Remy Collard (Okemos, Mich.) scored the game-winning goal for the Saints.

Final Score: Siena Heights 2, Lourdes 1

Location: Adrian, Mich. (O'Laughlin Stadium)

Records: Siena Heights (1-1, 1-1 WHAC), Lourdes (3-2, 1-1 WHAC)

The Gray Wolves set the pace for the game early on leading up to their lone goal of the game five minutes into the opening half. Brendon Long had a header that found the back of the net off a corner kick from Andris Klempert to give Lourdes the 1-0 lead. Cameron Poslaiko received a yellow card for the Gray Wolves 10 minutes into the game and the Saints took advantage of it as Senior Gustavo Barros (Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul) took the free-kick and slotted it past Ali Chokr (L, 3-2) to tie the game 1-1. Collard scored the game-winning goal for Siena Heights as he received a pass from Senior Uthman Babatunde (Lagos, Nigeria) into the box and scored on the right side of the goal. The teams exchanged possession the remainder of the half but were unable to capitalize on their chances.

The second half was much the same as the remainder of the first, with each team dictating the pace as they continued to exchange possession. The Saints had many chances throughout the second half to extend the lead but were unable to find the back of the net as Garrett Baxley came in for Chokr and kept Lourdes in the game. Lourdes had many chances throughout the second half to tie the game but Siena's defense was stellar as Senior Andrew Kozan (W, 1-1) kept them off the board earning Siena Heights their first win of the season. The Gray Wolves outshot the Saints 10-7 in the second half and had a staggering seven corner kicks compared to SHU's one. The game was a physical one as the Saints had four yellow cards and Lourdes had three.

• Collard had four shots, two of which were on goal in addition to his game-winning goal.

• Barros tallied three shots and earned the first goal for the Saints.

• Babatunde recorded one shot and earned an assist.
