Men's Soccer Ties Saint Francis in Double-OT

ADRIAN, Mich. -- Luis Miguel Anaya and Rahbar Khan each scored a goal in the 2-2 double-overtime draw against non-conference opponent Saint Francis (Ind.), on Wednesday.

In the 27th minute, Alessandro De Santis crossed in a corner into Kahn who headed it into the back of the net. Siena Heights led 1-0 going into halftime.

The Cougars (2-3-1) finished the next two goals of the night. Steven Johnson converted a penalty kick in the 46 minute, and capitalized again in the 64th minute off of a Kostic rebound.

In the 87th minute, Anaya finished a quick restart pass from Ian Billock to force overtime for the Saints.

Leo Hisamatsu started in goal for the Saints, allowing both goals before being relieved by Brandon Gonzalez in the 73rd minute. Both Hisamatsu and Gonzalez made two saves for SHU (2-2-1). For USF, Austin Williams stopped six shots.

Siena Heights out shot Saint Francis, 31-15, and held a 14-5 corner kick advantage.

Next up, the Saints will host Point Park (Pa.) for their final non-conference game of the season. Kickoff is slated for 2 p.m.
