The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) released the men's lacrosse season awards on Tuesday (May 12). Nolan Lyons (Senior/Allenton, Mich.), Parker Richards (Senior/Hudsonville, Mich.), and Hunter Zieman (Junior/Horton, Mich.) earned all-academic honors while Ryan Mamo (Senior/Farmington Hills, Mich.) was on the Champions of Character team.
Lyons appeared in 35 games and made 25 starts during his SHU career. He amassed 41 points (26g, 15a) and hauled in 25 ground balls. He was a WHAC All-Academic and NAIA Scholar-Athlete last season.
Richards played in 40 games, starting 31 times. He scored nine points (5g, 4a). The defensive-mid scooped up 76 ground balls and totaled 17 caused turnovers. He was a WHAC All-Academic and NAIA Scholar-Athlete in 2019.
Zieman saw action in 11 games through his first three years at Siena Heights. He tallied an assist while recording 20 ground balls and nine caused turnovers.
Mamo appeared in 39 games and made seven starts during his career. He totaled 93 points (64g, 29a) while contributing on defense with 31 ground balls and eight caused turnovers.
The 2020 season was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, the All-WHAC teams for men's lacrosse were not awarded.
