KANSAS CITY -- Siena Heights men's lacrosse freshman Jake Gallaher was named the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week by the national office on Tuesday night.
Gallaher had a phenomenal first week of the season as he leads the Saints with 11 goals through the first two games. Currently, Gallaher is accounting for almost 41% of the team's scoring and is currently on pace to finish with 66 goals this season. He also added one assist for the second-most points on the team with 12.
On the defensive side of the ball, Gallaher has collected eight groundballs, second-most on the team, and also has three caused turnovers. He is 8-14 in faceoffs so far this season.
Gallaher adds this honor to his Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) award he received on Monday.
The Saints host Missouri Baptist tomorrow at O'Laughlin Stadium at 7:00 p.m. EST.
