The Siena Heights men's lacrosse team was picked fifth in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Preseason Coaches' Poll with 63 points as announced by the league office on Saturday.
Madonna received all 10 first-place votes to top the poll with a total of 200 points. Indiana Tech had 86 points for second place while Lawrence Tech finished third with 73 points. Aquinas finished four points ahead of Siena Heights with 67 points for fourth.
Lourdes was sixth with 55 points followed by Michigan Dearborn with 45. Concordia (30), Cleary (19) and Taylor (Ind.) (12) finished out the poll.
The Saints finished third in last season's conference standings with a 4-3 WHAC mark. SHU opens the season on Wednesday, March 6 at home against Tennessee Wesleyan. The game is scheduled for a 1:00 p.m.
