EAST LANSING, Mich. -- The Siena Heights men's golf team finished ninth in the team standings at the conclusion of the final round of the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Jamboree #1. The tournament was held at the Timber Ridge Golf Course in East Lansing, Michigan. The Saints totaled 680 (332+348) to claim their final placing.
Aaron Bitz (Monroe, Mich.) led the Saints on day two with a score of 87 in the round to total 168 (81+87) to tie for 28th individually for the tournament. Colin Duffy (Pinckney, Mich.) also shot an 87 for a total of 170 (83+87) to tie for 31st. Grady Morlock (Adrian, Mich.) shot the lowest day-two score on the team (86), but finished tied for 42nd with a total score of 175 (89+86). James Monteith (Dearborn, Mich.) shot a 96 on the day to tie Morlock with a 175 (79+96). Andrew Westphal (Oconto, Wis.) finished off the scoring for Siena Heights with a round-two score of 88 for a 177 (89+88) for 48th.
The Saints have a quick turnaround as the next tournament is this Monday, September 16 at the Concordia University Invitational at the Washtenaw Golf Club in Ypsilanti, Michigan.
