Siena Heights men's basketball senior Keith Jordan Jr. (Toledo, Ohio) earned the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) men's basketball player of the week as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
Jordan started the week leading the Saints with a double-double by scoring 24 points and hauling in 10 rebounds along with a team-high of three steals in the 77-75 win over Rochester on Wednesday night. He went 9-14 from the floor and 5-6 from the charity stripe. Jordan followed up that performance with another double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds in the win against Concordia (Mich.) on Saturday afternoon. He went 6-12 from the floor and a perfect 8-8 on free-throw attempts.
With the 2-0 week, the Saints earned their third straight victory and improve to 6-5 in the WHAC.
This is Jordan's first conference player of the week honor and the second for the SHU men's basketball program this season.
The Saints return to action this Wednesday in a conference road game against Cornerstone. The game is set for a 7:30 p.m. tip-off.
