ADRIAN, Mich. – The Siena Heights men's basketball team dropped a close 62-59 contest to 10th-ranked Davenport in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference contest, on Wednesday.
Siena Heights (15-15, 9-12 WHAC) took an early lead, going up 15-7 with 13:45 remaining in the first half. The Panthers came back and took a 36-26 lead heading into halftime.
Davenport (22-7, 16-5 WHAC) held a steady lead until SHU took the lead 53-52 with 8:51 remaining in the game. The Saints extended their lead to 58-52 with 4:51 on the clock. DU took over with 1:50 on the clock, 59-58, and kept the lead for the rest of the game.
For the Panthers, Kevin Rich managed 14 points while bringing in eight rebounds. Nick Gamble finished with 11 points and five assists as Khadim Dieng and Robbie Bramhill each added 10 points.
Next up, the Saints will host Lourdes (Ohio) for their regular season finale slated for 7:30 p.m., on Saturday.
