  • #18 Saints Host #2 Marian (Ind.) in a Top-25 Matchup on Saturday

    ADRIAN, Mich. -- The (18) Siena Heights football team will host (2) Marian (Ind.) this week in a Mid-States Football Association (MSFA) Mideast game. Today’s game is the final regular-season contest for 2019 and is “Senior Day” for the Saints. Siena Heights enters today’s contest with a 7-2 overall record and a 4-2 MSFA MEL mark. The Saints are coming off a bye week after a 28-21 upset loss at Indiana Wesleyan two weeks ago.

    GREENWOOD, Ind. -- Three members of the Siena Heights football team were named to the 2019 Google Cloud College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District Football team in the NAIA - District 1. Sophomore running back Kaleb Jefferson (Bluffton, Ohio), senior receiver Jerrold King (Eastpointe, Mich.), and senior defensive lineman Andrew Loria (Sterling Heights, Mich.) joined 19 other student-athletes on the NAIA - District 1 team which includes schools from 22 states in the country.

    MARION, Ind. -- The Siena Heights football team was upset 28-21 on the road against Indiana Wesleyan on Saturday afternoon. Tyler Knecht threw for 300 yards on 23-46 passing and two touchdowns in the losing effort.

    Siena Heights sophomore linebacker Kole Murlin was chosen the Mid-States Football Association (MSFA) Mid-East Defensive Player of the Week after he helped lead the No. 18 Saints to a 24-14 win over No. 6 Saint Francis (Ind.) on Saturday. The win was the first in program history over a too-10 opponent and put the Saints firmly in second place in the league heading into the final two games of the 2019 campaign.

The win was the first in program history over a too-10 opponent and put the Saints firmly in second place in the league heading into the final two games of the 2019 campaign.

Kaleb Jefferson rushed for 107 yards on 19 carries while fellow running back Jared Jordan punched it in twice to help lead the Saints to the win.

Kole Murlin led a stout Siena Heights defense with 15 tackles and two pass breakups in the losing effort.

Trenton Morrow (Norwalk, Ohio) was a force for the SHU defense as he finished with six tackles, a forced fumble, and the interception that ended the contest.
