First Esports Recruiting Class Signed and Ready for Action in Fall of 2018

The Siena Heights esports program recently announced the first recruiting class that will begin competition in September of 2018.

Joining the program is Lena Dunn from Holt High School, Lily Wilson from the Adrian Adult and Alternative Education Center, Alexander Robertson from Jackson Preparatory and Early College and current Siena Heights student Alexa Howard.

Members of the SHU Overwatch team are Lena, Lily and Alexa while Alexander is on the SHU League of Legends team.

"I am extremely happy to welcome our new recruits to the team. They're all excellent candidates, and stand as a solid foundation for our esports program and all it will accomplish, while representing Siena Heights and its core values," Coach Macone stated. "The level of female participation is also encouraging, getting us ever closer to an all women's Overwatch team, something I would love to see us achieve."
