OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. -- The Siena Heights dance team competed in the finals of the NAIA National Championships on Saturday. In the preliminary round, the Saints scored a 77.10 and left them in sixth place after day one.
In the finals, SHU scored a 80.73 giving them a total score of 79.83 and a sixth place overall finish. In fifth place was Morningside (Iowa) with a final score of 83.50. Preliminary scores were worth 25 percent of each team's total score, while their final round scores were good for 75 percent of their total.
The Saints edged Aquinas who scored a total 76.93 and placed seventh. In the regional qualifiers, Aquinas finished in second place ahead of the third place finish of the Saints.
