Nine Claim Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete Honors for Baseball

Nine Siena Heights baseball players were named Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes, as announced by the NAIA on Thursday.

Two-time honorees for the Saints include Carson Wlad and Jesse Stires. Newcomers to this award are Cameron Best, Delver Freites, Riley Guntrip, Jacob Jones, Reid Olmstead, Brenden Baker and Brendan Green.

In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved junior academic status.
