Saints' Men's Soccer Snaps Skid with Victory over Lawrence Tech

ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights men's soccer team snapped a six-game winless streak with a 3-0 victory against Lawrence Tech at O'Laughlin Stadium on Wednesday.

Tyler Tran (Plainwell, Mich./Plainwell), Tyler Sherman (DeWitt, Mich./DeWitt) and Jason Uribe (Fenton, Mich./Fenton) scored goals for the Saints (4-7-2, 0-2-0 WHAC).

Luke Saegart (Mentor, Ohio/Lake Catholic) made four saves to earn the shutout in net.

Tran put SHU on the board first with a goal in the 17th minute. He received an assist from Doug Dawson (Roseville, Mich./Roseville).

The Saints then added a pair of scores in the second half.

Sherman tallied in the 62nd minute with an assist from James Lawson (Utica, Mich./Henry Ford II) and then Uribe completed the scoring in the 88th with help from John Faraj (Dearborn Heights, Mich./Dearborn).

For Lawrence Tech (0-9-1), goalkeeper Josh Lance had six saves.

The Saints will play their next game on Saturday when they visit Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference opponent Aquinas for a 3 p.m. start.
